Communicating with the people and communities of Leeds
Veolia takes corporate and social responsibility seriously and is involved with a number of local organisations to help improve community facilities and foster good relationships.
Local Facilities and Charities
We encourage our staff to support local charities and events through volunteering and payroll donations. We also sponsor community events and sports through our annual community support programme.
Veolia work with local schools, colleges and the University, and helps local community groups to access funding from the Veolia Environmental Trust.
Community Benefit Fund
We have set up a Community Benefit Fund to ensure that the local community can benefit directly from our operations in Leeds. This fund shall support local community projects in the immediate area surrounding the RERF. Above all we want to ensure funds are targeted to those local projects that provide the greatest sustainable benefits to the community.
We would like to hear your ideas about how you think the facility can provide benefits to you - email us at [email protected] .
Community Liaison Group
Veolia has an independently chaired Community Liaison Group for the facility with members representing the local community and interested groups.
For more information about this group or to find out how to join have a look at our Community Liaison Group web page.
Our Website
The website supplies information about the facility, news and Frequently Asked Questions. There is an opportunity to provide feedback via an electronic response form, together with the chance to sign up for regular email updates. The website address is prominent on all our materials, as well as the email address [email protected].
